Whole Baked Pears Ingredients

For this recipe, you probably have all the ingredients on hand! You will need:

  • large, ripe pears
  • honey or agave nectar
  • cinnamon
  • roughly chopped walnuts or pecans

How To Make Baked Pears With Walnuts

Step 1 Preheat the oven

To start, preheat the oven to 180 °C. You don’t have to line your baking sheet for this recipe.

Step 2 Prepare Pears

Cut each pear in half lenghtwise, then cut a small sliver off the underside so the pears sit flat while baking. Use a teaspoon to scrape out a hole in the center. Arrange the pears, facing up on a baking sheet or dish. Brush with honey, sprinkle evenly with cinnamon and fill the empty middles with chopped walnuts.

Step 3 Bake

Bake for about 25 minutes until soft. To see if it’s baked all the way through, pierce a pear with a fork. Serve when still warm.

How To Serve

Once baked, you can serve these pears with a scoop of your favorite icecream, plain yougurt or whipped cream. You can also add some extra dizzle of honey and walnuts.
