Classic, simple vanilla-chocolate Zebra Cake. It is so easy and so much fun to make it! Probably the taste of it reminds of childhood for many of us. Best served with warm cup of milk or coffee.

How To Make Zebra Cake

Flour sift through the sieve. Add in baking powder, stir to combine. Set aside. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with sugar until thick and fluffy. Beat in one egg yolk at a time. Gradually add the oil and sprite or sparkling water. Beat after each addiction. Add flour to eggs mixture in few addictions. Stir until smooth. Divide batter in 2 equal portions. Whisk the cocoa powder into one portion, gently mix with spatula. Add tablespoon of flour to the other portion, stir to combine. The batter comes a bit thick but don’t worry, it must be like that! It is easier to make nice looking strips. Gently scoop both batters with a spoon alternatively into baking pan to create zebra stripes.
